In the third quarter of 2024 (July-September), total shipments across all categories declined by 8.7%, reaching 1,797,388 tons compared to 1,969,289 tons in the previous quarter. This decline was primarily driven by reduced imports of clinker, petroleum products, and crude palm oil. Notably, clinker imports dropped by 123,039 tons, and petroleum products saw a 14% reduction. However, certain sectors experienced growth, with significant increases in frozen products (87.3%), bagged rice (174.7%), and container cargo (3.7%).
