Service information

The National Port Authority (NPA), through its Property & Environment Department, administers and manages properties available for lease within designated port areas.

Available premises include undeveloped open storage areas, warehouse/building facilities, and tank farm/open shed areas. Rental is calculated on net usable square feet by property category. Where a lease includes more than one category, the applicable category rates are calculated separately and combined.

Property Leasing Services

NPA administers properties available for lease within designated port areas. Rental is calculated from the net usable square footage of each property category, and mixed-category premises are calculated separately and then combined.

Warehouse and building premises, including office facilities, made available for lease within NPA property areas.

How mixed premises are charged

Where a lease includes more than one property category, the applicable rate is applied to the net usable area of each category and the resulting amounts are combined.

Rate review

Published rental rates are subject to review every three years in accordance with applicable NPA policy and Management/Board directives.

Operational procedure

Property Leasing Procedure

In accordance with the Board of Directors' directive to promote economic development through a comprehensive land-leasing policy consistent with NPA's mandate and mission, requests for the lease of NPA property are processed through the following procedure.

Current stage

Submission of Application

A prospective lessee submits a formal written application addressed to the Managing Director of the National Port Authority. The application should clearly state:

  • The property being requested;
  • The proposed location, where known;
  • The intended use and purpose of the property; and
  • Any other relevant information required by NPA.
