Port overview

Constructed by the United States military during the Second World War, the Freeport of Monrovia is the largest port in the NPA network. Two rock breakwaters of approximately 2,300 meters and 2,200 meters enclose about 300 hectares of sheltered water. Its marginal wharf extends approximately 600 meters and the harbor also includes the former LMC, NIOC and BMC finger piers.
