The National Port Authority of Liberia is committed to making its public website usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our approach
Accessibility is treated as part of the service, not as a separate visual feature.
The website is being developed and reviewed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA as the target standard. This statement does not claim that every page or third-party service is already fully conformant.
Visible focus
Interactive elements use a visible keyboard-focus treatment so users can identify where they are when navigating with Tab, Shift+Tab and other keyboard controls.
Motion preferences
Users who enable reduced-motion preferences in their device or browser receive a reduced-motion experience for animations and transitions controlled by the website.
Readable information
Public information is structured with headings, labels, descriptive link text and responsive layouts intended to remain usable across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Interactive services
Modals, filters and data tools are being reviewed for accessible names, keyboard behaviour, focus management and clear status information.
Third-party services
Some functions, including translation and customer chat, are supplied by third parties. NPA will continue to review how these services affect the overall accessibility of the website.
Report an accessibility problem
Tell us if something prevents you from using the website.
Describe the page, content or function causing difficulty and, if possible, the device, browser or assistive technology you are using. This helps the technical and communications teams investigate the problem.
Ongoing review
Accessibility is an ongoing maintenance responsibility. New content, documents and digital services should be reviewed as they are added, and known issues should be corrected according to their impact on users and the public service being delivered.
