In 2025, our port system continued its strong expansion: the NPA handled 575 vessel calls and over 6.5 million Net Registered Tons of shipping capacity. Container volume reached 174,258 TEUs, and total cargo throughput increased to 12.3 million metric tons, a 10.7% increase from 2024. Bulk cargo (primarily iron ore exports) accounted for over 70% of throughput. Crucially, more than 90% of Liberia’s international trade passes through our ports, underscoring that our efficiency is central to national growth and development.
