Buchanan, Grand Bassa County — The National Port Authority (NPA) participated in Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebrations in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, with the Liberia Sea Port Police serving as the Authority’s official parade contingent.
Dressed in ceremonial uniforms and demonstrating discipline, precision and professionalism, the Liberia Sea Port Police joined other national security and law enforcement institutions in the Independence Day parade.
The contingent was inspected by His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia, before proceeding through the principal streets of Buchanan as part of the national celebrations.
The participation of the Liberia Sea Port Police reflected the National Port Authority’s commitment to professionalism, discipline and dedicated service to the Liberian people. Their performance attracted positive attention from spectators and fellow participants and contributed to the ceremonial character of the Independence Day observance.
Representing NPA Management at the celebration were Human Resource Executive Director Vashti H. Sirleaf and Executive Director of Public Relations Pewee Baysah, who joined other officials and dignitaries in observing the national event.
The NPA’s participation in Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebration also reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to national development, institutional excellence and meaningful public engagement.
