John A. Siaway is a seasoned Liberian public-sector professional with over 20 years of progressive experience at the National Port Authority (NPA) of Liberia. He currently serves as Executive Director of the National Port Authority, a position he assumed in September 2026, following a year of service as Acting Executive Director.
Mr. Siaway began his career at the NPA as a Transport Officer and progressively rose through the ranks to become Manager, Director, Senior Director, Acting Executive Director, and ultimately Executive Director. Over the course of his career, he played a central role in establishing and developing the NPA’s Transport Department, including the development of operational systems, policies, procedures, and management frameworks.
In his current and previous executive roles, he has provided leadership in strategic planning, institutional governance, operational efficiency, logistics and fleet management, policy implementation, and organizational development. He has also represented the NPA in engagements with government institutions, international partners, and private-sector stakeholders.
Mr. Siaway holds a Master of Public Sector Administration from Cuttington University Graduate School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Liberia. His professional strengths include executive leadership, public-sector management, institutional reform, strategic planning, policy development, team leadership, and organizational governance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Siaway has been recognized for his institutional knowledge, professionalism, ethical leadership, mentorship, and commitment to strengthening public-sector service delivery.
