Esther Kai. Nmah is a maritime and port management professional with extensive experience in port administration, maritime safety, regulatory compliance, and operational coordination. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Port State Coordination Department at the National Port Authority of Liberia, where she provides strategic leadership in strengthening port safety, operational compliance, and the implementation of international maritime standards.
Ms. Nmah also serves as the Team Lead for the National Port Authority of Liberia on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS), coordinating the Authority’s participation, compliance requirements, and follow-up actions related to the audit process.
Her areas of responsibility include dangerous goods management, vessel services, marine pollution preparedness and response, port reception facilities, and other key functions that support safe, efficient, and sustainable port operations.
She holds a Master of Science in Maritime Affairs, specializing in Port Management and Logistics, from the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from the University of Liberia.
Ms. Nmah is committed to institutional development, capacity building, maritime excellence, and the continued advancement of Liberia’s port and maritime sector in accordance with international best practices.
