Ports and Harbors Dept
Coordinates the safe and efficient use of harbor areas and core port-operational interfaces. The department supports berth, harbor and waterfront management, operational coordination and the maintenance of navigable and serviceable port environments.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate harbour and berth-use planning with marine, terminal, concession and vessel stakeholders.
- Monitor operational conditions affecting safe access, berthing, cargo interfaces and waterfront activities.
- Support management of navigational areas, harbour infrastructure and operational restrictions.
- Coordinate information required for vessel movements and day-to-day port-operational planning.
- Identify harbour-capacity, maintenance and service constraints and escalate required interventions.
- Support consistent operating procedures across NPA-managed ports in coordination with outstation management.
