Investigation

Conducts or coordinates fact-finding into security incidents, losses, suspected misconduct and other matters assigned for formal investigation. The function supports evidence preservation, objective reporting and appropriate referral for administrative, legal or law-enforcement action.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and assess matters referred for investigation within the function’s authorised scope.
  • Collect statements, records, physical evidence, CCTV material and other relevant information.
  • Maintain case files and preserve evidence using documented handling and confidentiality controls.
  • Coordinate with Seaport Police, Internal Audit, Legal, Human Resources and external authorities where required.
  • Prepare factual investigation reports and recommendations for authorised decision-makers.
  • Analyse recurring incident patterns and communicate control or security weaknesses to responsible units.
