Internal Audit Dept
Provides independent assurance on governance, internal controls, risk management and use of Authority resources. The department evaluates whether financial, operational and administrative controls are designed and operating effectively and follows up agreed corrective actions.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and execute risk-based internal audit plans covering financial, operational and administrative activities.
- Evaluate internal controls, compliance, asset protection and reliability of management information.
- Review selected procurement, revenue, payroll, inventory, concession and expenditure processes for control weaknesses.
- Report audit findings and practical recommendations to the appropriate oversight and management authorities.
- Track implementation of agreed audit recommendations and unresolved control issues.
- Support fraud-risk awareness and refer suspected irregularities for appropriate investigation or action.
