Health, Safety, and Environment Dept

Leads occupational health, safety and environmental management across NPA workplaces and port operations. The department supports hazard control, incident prevention, emergency preparedness, environmental compliance and continual improvement of HSE performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor HSE policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe-work requirements.
  • Conduct workplace and operational inspections and track corrective actions for identified hazards.
  • Coordinate reporting, investigation and analysis of accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental events.
  • Monitor fire, hazardous-material, pollution-prevention and emergency-preparedness requirements with relevant units.
  • Deliver HSE awareness and support mandatory safety training for staff, contractors and port users where applicable.
  • Maintain HSE performance data and advise management on trends, risks and compliance priorities.
