Fire Service Dept

Provides fire prevention, preparedness and emergency-response capability for NPA facilities and port operations. The department helps protect life, cargo, vessels, buildings and critical infrastructure from fire and related emergencies.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain operational readiness of fire personnel, vehicles, pumps, hydrants, extinguishers and response equipment.
  • Conduct fire-prevention inspections and support control of hot work and other high-risk activities.
  • Respond to fires, rescue situations, hazardous-material events and other assigned emergencies.
  • Develop and exercise fire and emergency-response procedures with HSE, Security and operational teams.
  • Provide fire-safety awareness and practical training for relevant staff and port users.
  • Record incidents, equipment tests and response performance and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
