Re-echoing President Weah's Vision to provide Hope for Liberians; NPA Boss concludes discussions for official launch of NPA’s Scholarship scheme

 

As part of efforts to buttress H. E.  President George M. Weah’s Commitment for Port Sector Reform through human development, a three-man NPA delegation to the United States has finalized talks aimed at mobilizing funds intended to provide capacity building opportunities for deserving Liberian students. 

 

Hon. Diana Nebo, Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), as head of the visiting delegation to the United States, sees the move as a direct manifestation of President George Weah’s vision for Liberians to acquire education, especially those with career interests in Port Related disciplines.

All Port Users and Shipping Agencies

This is an advisory note to all Port Users, Stake Holders, Agents Representatives operating out of the Freeport of Monrovia. This notification references NPA Memorandum # 222. Dated August 10, 2022. Indicating beam and draft restrictions of 28 meters and 9.5 meters respectively. Based on the progress of the dredging process, the restrictions are restored to 32 meters beam and 10 meters  drafts for vessels calling on the Freeport of Monrovia, effective October 25th, 2022. It will be prudent that your owners and principals are advised accordingly.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has made various appointments in Government affecting the National Port Authority.
 

Those appointed today, Monday, October 17, 2022, include Madam Diana Nebo, Managing Director, National Port Authority, and two deputies: Mr. Alphonso Kuiah, Deputy Managing Director for Administration, and Mr. Sam Doe, Deputy Managing Director for Operations.

Monrovia, Liberia –The President of Liberia, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah has appointed Hon. Diana Nebo as Acting Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA).

In an effort to strengthen trade and effective collaborations, the Management of the National Port Authority under the leadership of Acting Managing Director Madam Diana Nebo has renewed monitoring and evaluation activities at A P M Terminals with the deployment of a team of monitoring and evaluation officers.

 

1. The Government of the Republic of Liberia through the National Port Authority intends to apportion part of its revenue for Fiscal Years 2015/2016 towards the Construction of Rigid Pavement, Streetlights, Sidewalks and Drainages in the Freeport of Monrovia under the contract IFB No NPA/ICB/002/15/16.

1. All consignees must display the title of ownership, i.e.: Bill of Lading, Delivery Order, IPD.

The National Port Authority (NPA) was established by an Act of the National Legislature in 1967 and amended in 1970 as a state-owned corporation to manage, plan, and build all public ports in Liberia. The NPA system comprises four ports: Freeport of Monrovia, Port of Buchanan, Port of Greenville, and Port of Harper.
