The seminar was conducted in fulfillment of the NPA’s overall training plan to enhance and further build the human resource arm of the entity. The participants were also trained in project writing, planning and implementation.
A release from the NPA quotes acting Managing Director David F. Williams saying that the vision of the Port will not be achieved if the requisite manpower is lacking.
Mr. Williams described the services of every staff/employee as the most important assert, necessary to achieving the goals of all institutions around the world.
Williams re-assured NPA’s commitment to improving the capacity of the institutions’ workforce adding that it is an integral part of the Port’s development plan
In response, the participants thanked the NPA management for the opportunity given them to acquire additional knowledge, something they considered as a way forward to ensure efficiency in their various departments as the NPA strives to become a premier Port in West Africa.
The participants are expected to develop a “blueprint” to set the stage for the implementation of the internal roads rehabilitation project within the Freeport of Monrovia.
